Séminaire CIRGET: «Gluing and generalized products»

Conférencier: Richard Melrose, MIT

Résumé: A generalized product is a sequence of manifolds which induces, and resolves, a Lie algebroid on the base manifold. This resolution introduces a space of pseudodifferential operators extending the enveloping algebra of the Lie algebroid. There are many interesting examples of such spaces. I will concentrate on a case relating to the gluing of ALF gravitational instantons (work of Schroers-Singer and Zhu) to illustrate the utility of this notion.
